This blog is about masculinity and femininity--what the world says about them in contrast to what the Word says about them. The two views are very much in conflict with one another. The former perspective is the world view I held until August 2008, when God saved me. The latter perspective is the world view I now hold and hope to spend my life studying and sharing. Biblical Manhood and Womanhood is a God-given passion. I love it. It makes me excited. It makes me smile and squeal almost like a kid on Christmas morning. Every new truth, every new insight into God's design for manhood and womanhood is like opening a gift that I'll be able to have and cherish for the rest of my life.
I realize that a blog built entirely around my personal thoughts and opinions would be incredibly boring, not very credible, and extremely difficult to write. That's why I've chosen to study and analyze literature (published by people far more knowledgeable than myself) and respond to it on this blog. The first book I'll blog about is Recovering Biblical Manhood and Womanhood: A Response to Evangelical Feminism, edited by John Piper and Wayne Grudem. I have been blessed with quite a few resources on manhood and womanhood and intend to blog about all of them. I will also respond to articles that I've found from secular sources, using what I've learned to discuss the claims they make. And of course, though I will try to keep my yammering to a minimum, I will share what my own Bible reading has taught me on the subject of manhood and womanhood.
Bear with me, pray for God's truth to shine, and thanks for reading!
